O-Kiraku Nikki v1.3'O-Kiraku Nikki' is Japanese for 'A Nice Calendar'. It is a simple PHP program that allows you to display a calendar in a web site, with the possibility of adding as many annotations as you want to any day, and have these annotations displayed in your web page. You can use it as a diary, a weblog, an scheduler, etc. It comes with full multilanguage (Unicode) support, and includes by default English, Japanese, Spanish, Italian, German, Dutch and Swedish translations. It has been designed with both security and simplicity in mind. To use it, you will need a PHP-enabled web server, and a MySQL database. Please see the INSTALL file for installation instructions. O-Kiraku Nikki is FREE SOFTWARE. It is distributed under the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL), what means that you can use this software for anything you want, whether for commercial purposes or not. Example calendarThe following is an example calendar generated by O-Kiraku Nikki. This one has been configured to display the same date by default (2003/2/5), so the Japanese and Greek postings can be read. The default installation of O-Kiraku Nikki displays the current date when it is called. Try clicking on the days with bold font, or the previous month and next month buttons (the ones to the left and right of the month name).
See the calendar in other languages: Administration interfaceThere is a demo version of the user administration interface here: http://www.ag0ny.com/nikkipost.php. You can login using demo as login and password. All the functions are active, but posting and modifying messages will be disabled if people do not behave.
